Paco Ignacio Taibo II is of royal jelly for the ears. Invité de l'émission Mauvais Genres, Mexican author presents his latest book, a biography of Pancho Villa. His accent, his erudition, his commitment to the left and his humor is fun to hear. It would be a crime to miss this excellent interview. Only flat, no news on a possible return of my favorite Mexican investigator, the only Belascoarán Héctor Shayne.

The film likes polar. The adaptations are common, for better and often for worse. I look forward to Shutter Island, directed by Martin Scorcese, based on harrowing thriller by Dennis Lehane. The indices are not lacking that this film is a success. Indeed, the author is a regular screens, big as small. He worked to write several episodes of The Wire, one of the most remarkable television police series, and the film adaptation of the Mystic River by Clint Eastwood was perfect and above all faithful to the spirit of the novel. The trailer of Shutter Island is very promising, but it was not until October 2 to see if the honeymoon between Hollywood and Denis Lehane persists. I want to bring the sublime comic adaptation of Shutter Island by Christian De Metter which has taken in each case the atmosphere claustrophobic and schizophrenic book.

On 15 September will end the ordeal experienced by fans of James Ellroy. That is 8 years since we expect the last volume of his trilogy Underworld USA. Blood's a Rover will conclude this series of dog-eared America 60 years. With the Cold War as a backdrop, American Tabloid and The Cold Six Thousand shell the traumas that have shaped this period of American history: the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy related to social movements at the end of segregation and Vietnam War, through the mafia and Las Vegas. With Blood's a Rover, James Ellroy covers the period from 1968 to 1972, the Black Panthers to the Watergate scandal. I never expected the fall with so much impatience.
